HOW CAN YOU HELP?
We do not receive government funding or support in Honduras, relying solely on donations, fundraising, and sponsorships from private persons or companies to operate. Our waiting list is growing, and there is an urgent need to expand our center to accommodate all those who require education, training, and stimulation. We also continue to provide workshops for teachers and parents to strengthen their knowledge. New executive director!
HEIDI MORELAND is our newest member and will lead Cattleya Education Center from January 2025. She brings a wealth of experience in both the IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) field and education. Heidi is an experienced manager and administrator with the right background to help us develop our center in the future.
She has a lifelong service that includes living in an orphanage for children with disabilities in Mexico, working in local schools in the SPED department and as a Spanish translator, and serving various people groups in Central America.
She is also experienced in international work, having lived in Honduras for ten years, uniquely preparing her to make a lasting impact on Roatan.
We also need our new executive director to be sponsored, so we appreciate any contribution!
